You are invited to a presentation intended to help you better understand the features and opportunities present within the Maroon & Gold Network, the free online networking and mentoring platform for U of M students and alumni - powered by the Alumni Association. This session will give an overview of existing features you can leverage, as well as potential opportunities for expansion for your department, college, or campus.

Transfer Student Advocate Training

For those not familiar with this initiative, the goal is to help staff and faculty understand the unique issues transfer students face and become Transfer Student Advocates.

Program Requirements:

  • To become a Transfer Student Advocate you must attend one training. After that you will receive occasional communications and invitations to optional, future events and training.

Anti-Racism for Student Support Practitioners World Cafe

Join us for an engaging workshop utilizing the World Cafe facilitation method to look into the complexities of anti-racism within the context of student support at the University of Minnesota. This session is designed to foster exploration, meaningful discussion, and practical application of anti-racism concepts. Attendance is limited to the first 125 attendees to RSVP. Light refreshments will be provided.

Advising Forum 2024

This conversation-based session will be a chance to network and connect with colleagues as well as an opportunity to gather input from the advising community about your experiences.  The interactive format will consist of in-depth table discussions followed by large group sharing and discussion. The goal is to exchange ideas and brainstorm solutions related to initiatives and experiences that impact advisors and advising.
