Fall 2023 Education Abroad Network (EAN) Meeting

The Learning Abroad Center would like to welcome you back to campus by inviting you to join us for the Fall 2023 Education Abroad Network meeting. We would really love to connect with you in person for this meeting. If you are unable to make it in person there will be the option to join remotely. We will reserve the few minutes of the meeting to have some refreshments and connect with LAC staff and campus colleagues.

What Multilingual Students Are Saying | Student Panel

Students are experts of their own experiences in their classes and on campus. Hearing from them directly provides valuable insight and ideas for improving their experiences and learning.  In this session, a panel of multilingual students will share stories about their experiences on campus.  There will also be time for Q and A.

Language Bias & Linguistic Justice

International and multilingual students come to our campus with many skills, talents, and perspectives that enrich our university and learning experiences for all.  However, sometimes students experience judgment or exclusion based on the way that they speak or use English.  This, in turn, can impact their experiences, both social and academic.  In this workshop, we will explore what is understood by language bias and linguistic justice and touch on how we can work to create more linguistically affirming and just classrooms.
