Tips for Advising

The Learning Abroad Center is the University of Minnesota's comprehensive resource for study, intern, and research experiences worldwide. The LAC offers a full range of advising and support services to students, including program selection, academic planning, financial planning, registration, credit, and cultural adjustment.

For Advisors

Advisors are also more than welcome to contact the Learning Abroad Center with their questions. You can contact our office via phone or email, reach out to the LAC liaison to your department, or explore advisor resources on our website.

Advisors are also encouraged to attend our annual advisor training.
