Students in the University Honors Program or students taking Honors courses
Tips for Advising
The mission of the University Honors Program is to foster the full intellectual engagement of aspiring scholars from across the University through curricular enrichment, sustained advising, and involvement in research, scholarship, and artistic and creative expression mentored by faculty.
UHP provides the guidance, support and means for students in the program to enhance their experience of the University by taking full advantage of the many resources and learning opportunities available at a top public research institution.
Referring Students
UHP offers current students an opportunity to apply to the program as rising sophomores (current freshmen) or juniors (current sophomores).
The UHP Post-Freshman application is launched early to mid-October each year on the UHP website with an application deadline of early February for admission to the program for the following fall term.
If you have a student whom you think would be a good fit for the program or has expressed an interest, fall term each year is a great time to refer students to UHP and/or the application site.
