All faculty and staff are invited to come and build your understanding of resources and opportunities for international student development, academic and career support. We hope you will join us to connect with other staff and faculty on these topics, and have the opportunity to consult with experts. This is a drop-in space, we recommend joining for at least 30-45 minutes but we hope you will stay as long as you would like! Questions to get answered here:
Campus Advisor Event - Lindahl Academic Center
The Lindahl Academic Center is hosting a Campus Advisor Event and would like to invite you and your advising staff to join us to learn more about your partnership with the Lindahl Academic Center and Athletics. We will discuss the various ways we collaborate with you and our campus partners, identify academic resources within our office used to support our students, and highlight pertinent NCAA changes and eligibility rules. We will guide you through a tour of various Athletic facilities here at Minnesota, provide pizza for lunch, and host a free raffle for various Gopher gear items!

Orientation 2025: Part 2: Focusing on Registration Preparation
As the advising community ramps up for another busy summer, the Advisor Training Work Group is planning annual training events to help prepare advisors for new student orientation. There will be two virtual sessions available focusing on orienting both first-year and transfer students. Part 1 will focus on updates from campus partners. Immigration Attorney Presentation: Immigrant & Non-Immigrant Visa Options
You are invited to join a presentation discussing the various types of employment-based visas (including H-1B) and paths to permanent residency (“green card”). The presentation will be done by a local, experienced immigration attorney, Jesse Goldfarb at the firm Nilan Johnson Lewis.
