Practitioner Experiences Using AI Tools for International Students Career Development

Join us for an informative session as four higher education career services professionals, specializing in working with international students, come together to share their experiences with utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in supporting international student career development. This event is organized by the NCDA International Student Services Committee and is designed for NCDA members looking to explore the practical applications of AI in enhancing the career prospects of international students in higher education.

APLUS Training: Demystifying the Basics

Unlock the fundamentals and increase your confidence and proficiency in utilizing APLUS. Whether you're a seasoned advisor or just getting started, this session is your gateway to mastering the essentials of APLUS. 

Join us for a deep dive into the core functionalities of APLUS through concise demonstrations. Learn efficient techniques for filtering student lists, generating reports, setting up custom alerts, reminders, and seamlessly managing referrals—all within the user-friendly interface of APLUS. Registration encouraged, but not required. 

APAS User Group Meeting

The APAS/TES team would love to have you join us if you are interested in learning more about APAS and TES. We share helpful information for advisors and user training along with tips and tricks for processing exceptions on students' APAS reports. All APAS users are welcome and encouraged to attend.

APLUS Support Drop-in Hours

APLUS Support Drop-in Hours are offered monthly on Zoom. Bring your APLUS questions, and Kate Ryan will give tutorials, offer up tips & tricks, and we will problem solve your technical APLUS questions together. Feel free to join the zoom at any time during the drop-in hour. These will be conducted as an open office hours meeting, where questions will be answered for all attendees to learn from.

Lindahl Academic Center Tour

Please join us to learn more about your partnership with the Lindahl Academic Center and Athletics.  We will discuss the various ways we collaborate with you, our campus partners, identify academic resources within our office used to support our students and highlight pertinent NCAA eligibility rules involving academics.  We will also provide a tour of various Athletic facilities here at Minnesota and a pizza lunch will be served!

Spring 2024 Education Abroad Network Meeting

The Spring 2024 Education Abroad Network meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 9 from 2:30-4:00 pm in Walter Library 402.  

Topic: Investing in an Experience Abroad: Exploring the True Costs, Financial Resources and Value Proposition

We will again offer a hybrid option for this meeting but if you can make it in person it would be great to see you!  We will reserve some time at the start of the meeting for refreshments and an opportunity to connect with LAC staff and campus colleagues.
