John Tate Professional Development Conference and Awards Ceremony

The John Tate Professional Development Conference and Awards Ceremony encourages fellowship by bringing together faculty, administrators, professional advising staff, career counselors, and other members of the extended University community interested in academic advising.

The 2024 conference will be held Thursday February 29th, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The 2024 conference will be focusing on the theme “Reconnecting with Your Communities and Reclaiming Your Passion.” The AAN Board chose this theme in response to the feedback received during the 2023 Advising Forum regarding mental wellness and the increased burden many advisors have faced in recent years. The 2024 conference will be in person to help advisors re-connect and stay connected with their advising community. The John Tate Professional Development Conference and Awards Ceremony is sponsored by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and the Academic Advising Network.
