It is important to understand the international student experience to successfully advise international students. This workshop will give an overview of UMN's international student population, International Student and Scholar Services and student visa requirements.
Introduction to International Student Advising is offered by International Student and Scholar Services twice a year. ISSS's advisor training is intended for new or seasoned academic advisors, Graduate Program Coordinators, career counselors, and student services staff who work with international students.
This training is separate from the ISSS Intercultural Workshop Series.
