On behalf of the Advising Initiatives team, we are pleased to invite you to a virtual training facilitated by the Immigration Response Team.

Overview from the Immigration Response Team: Advising Students who are Undocumented

Facilitator: Marissa Hill-Dongre, J.D., IRT

Description:

Do you have questions about immigration issues? Do you need advice on connecting students to resources that can help? Immigration policy is complex, and in a large institution with many diverse global connections, immigration-related issues regularly arise. The Immigration Response Team tracks immigration policy changes and how they impact the University of Minnesota. At this session, you will learn about updates to policies, legislation, changes to DACA and their impact on students who are undocumented, and new immigration statuses that are starting to be seen more regularly in higher education. You will also learn about the Immigration Response Team and other campus resources that can support students.
