All faculty and staff are invited to come and build your understanding of resources and opportunities for international student development, academic and career support. We hope you will join us to connect with other staff and faculty on these topics, and have the opportunity to consult with experts. This is a drop-in space, we recommend joining for at least 30-45 minutes but we hope you will stay as long as you would like! Questions to get answered here:
- What career opportunities can international students participate in while they are still a student, and after graduation? How to help international students find career opportunities?
- What are some of the opportunities for international student leadership development?
- What are available mental health support resources at the University for international students?
- How can I advise students that I feel might benefit from ongoing English language development for academic settings?
- What are the university’s English language proficiency requirements and how are they determined? What do I need to know about AZ holds?
- What teaching support is available for international TAs?
- How does OED and MCAE support or advocate for the UMN international community?
- What are resources for international students’ basic needs?
- How can I further engage international students and help international and domestic students connect better?
- Where can I develop my teaching skills to better support multilingual students?
- ...and perhaps more!
